Unusual location of hydatid cyst: thoracic outlet
Öz: Kist hidatik, sestodların neden olduğu infeksiyözbir hastalıktır. En sık tutulan organlar karaciğer veakciğerdir (sırasıyla %70 ve %25). Diğer organlar%10dan daha az etkilenir. Dalak, böbrekler, safrayolları, mezenter, kalp, beyin, vertebral kolon,yumurtalıklar, pankreas, safra kesesi, troid bezi, memeve kas-iskelet sistemi veya yumuşak doku daha aztutulur. Bu yazıda, histopatolojik olarak ispatlanan, sağtorasik outlet bölgesinde kist hidatiği olan 49 yaşındabir kadın hasta sunuldu. Bilgilerimize göre, torasikoutlette çevre dokulara yayılmayan bir kist hidatikdaha önce sunulmamıştır.

Öz: Hydatid cyst is an infectious disease caused by cestodes. Theorgans most frequently involved are the liver and lung (70%and 25%, respectively). The other organs are affected by lessthan 10%. The spleen, kidneys, bile ducts, mesentery, heart,brain, vertebral column, ovaries, pancreas, gallbladder,thyroid gland, breast and muscloskeletal system or softtissue are less frequently involved. In this article, we report a49-year-old female patient with a histopathologically provenhydatid cyst which was located in the right thoracic outletregion. To our knowledge, a primary hydatid cyst of thethoracic outlet without invasion to the adjacent structureshas not been previously reported.
