Pasteurellozis cases in sea bass and sea bream cultured in the Aegean Region and other bacteria isolated from these cases

Öz:
Bu çalışmada, Bornova Veteriner Kontrol Enstitüsü, Balık Hastalıkları Ulusal Referans Laboratuvarına 2009-2011 yılları arasında hastalık teşhisi amacıyla gönderilen, klinik olarak pasteurellozis semptomları gösteren 104 levrek örneğinin 6sından (% 5.7) ve 81 çipura örneğinin 10undan (% 12.3) Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida izole edildi. Ayrıca, Pasteurellosis pozitif levrek örneklerinin 4ünden 2 Pseudomonas anguilliseptica ve 2 Aeromonas sobria izolatı elde edildi. Pasteurellozis pozitif çipura örneklerinin 7sinden ise 2 Vibrio alginolyticus, 1 V. vulnificus, 1 Pseudomonas flourescens, 1 A. sobria ve 3 A. hydrophila izolatı elde edildi. Örneklerden bakteri izolasyonu, konvansiyonel mikrobiyolojik metotlar ile yapıldı. İdentifikasyon sonuçları, Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida izolatları için polimeraz zincir reaksiyonu (PZR) metodu ile diğer etkenler için ise Vitek-2 compact sistemi ile doğrulandı. Elde edilen bakteriyel izolatların antibiyotik duyarlılık profilleri Kirby-Bauer disk difüzyon metodu ile ortaya konuldu. Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida izolatlarının en fazla (% 81.25) florfenikol (30 μg)e karşı duyarlı olduğu, amoksisiline (30 μg)e karşı ise tüm izolatların dirençli olduğu gözlendi. Pasteurellozis vakalarından izole edilen diğer bakteriyel etkenlerden üçünün (% 27.27) Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicidadan farklı antibiyotiklere duyarlı olduğu belirlendi. Bu sonuçlar, Pasteurellozis vakalarında diğer bakteriyel etkenlerin önemini de göstermektedir.

Ege bölgesinde kültüre edilen levrek ve çipuralardaki pasteurellozis vakaları ve bu vakalardan izole edilen diğer bakteriler

Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida was isolated from 6 (5.7 %) of 104 sea bass samples and from 10 (12.3 %) of 81 sea bream samples with clinical symptoms of Pasteurellosis presented to the National Reference Laboratory of Fish Diseases in Bornova Veterinary Control Institute between 2009- 2011. Besides, 2 Pseudomonas anguilliseptica and 2 Aeromonas sobria isolates were obtained in 4 of the pasteurellosis positive sea bass samples. 2 Vibrio alginolyticus, 1 Vibrio vulnificus, 1 Pseudomonas flourescens, 1 Aeromonas sobria and 3 Aeromonas. hydrophila isolates were obtained from 7 of the pasteurellosis positive sea bream samples. Bacterial isolation and identification were carried out with conventional microbiological methods. Identification of Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida isolates were confirmed with polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and other bacterial isolates with the VITEK-II compact system. Antibiotic susceptibility profiles of the bacterial isolates were elucidated through the Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method. A great majority of the Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida isolates (81.25 %) were sensitive to florfenicol (30 μg), whereas all isolates were resistant to amoxycillin (30 μg). There of the other bacteria (27.27 %) isolated from Pasteurellosis cases were differed from Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida in their antibiotic susceptibility patterns. These results showed the importance of the other bacterial agents in Pasteurellosis cases.
