Spontaneous Regression of Lumbar Disc Herniation Correlated with Clinical and Radiological Improvement: Case Report

Öz:

Son yıllarda tanıya yönelik görüntüleme tekniklerin kalitesindeki artış, lomber disk herni(LDH) sinin tanısı ve takibini kolaylaştıran önemli bir gelişmedir. Özellikle ekstrüde LDH leridaha sık tespit edilmeye başlanmıştır. Radiküler ağrı, ekstrüde lomber disk hernisi olanhastalarda en önemli şikâyetlerden biridir. Birçok hastada radikülopatiye bağlı olarak cerrahitedavi yapılmaktadır. Ekstrüde lomber disk hernilerinin spontan regresyonu ise nadir görülenbir durumdur. Ekstrüde lomber disk hernilerinde spontan regresyon ihtimali için manyetikrezonans görüntüleme (MRG) bize bazı ipuçları verebilmektedir. Biz cerrahi müdahaleyegerek kalmadan nörolojik düzelme ile birlikte regrese olan lomber ekstrüde disk herniasyonuolan 21 yaşında erkek hastayı radyolojik bulguları ile birlikte literatürler ışığında sunmayıamaçladık.

Öz:

In recent years, the increase in the quality of imaging techniques is for diagnosis of lumbardisc hernia (LDH) accounted facilitate the diagnosis and follow-up an important development.Especially extruded LDH is started to be more frequent. Radicular pain is one of the mostimportant complaints with extruded lumbar disc herniation in patients. Surgery is performeddue to radiculopathy In many patients. Spontaneous regression of extruded lumbar discherniation is a rare condition. In such extruded lumbar disc herniation cases, the contrast- enhanced MRI can give us several predictions associated with the prognosis of herniation. Weaimed to present 21 years old male patient a case of regressed and extruded lumbar discherniation without any surgical intervention, only with neurologic improvement together withradiological findings in light of literature.
