İNGİLTERE BASININDA OSMANLI-TÜRK PROPAGANDASI YAPAN BİR DERGİ: THE ISLAMIC REVIEW (1913-1931)
Öz: 1912-1913 yılları Batı’nın Osmanlı topraklarına askeri saldırılarını arttırdığı bir dönem olmuştur.Saldırılar 1914’te Birinci Dünya Savaşı ile devam etmiş ve savaş sonunda Osmanlı Devletiyıkılmıştır. Devletin askeri ve siyasi kabiliyetini kaybetmesi üzerine Anadolu halkı kendi geleceğinitayin etmek üzere silahlı mücadeleye girişmiş ve yürütmüş olduğu bağımsızlık mücadelesi 11 Ekim1922 yılında askeri zafer ile sonuçlanmıştır. Basın yayın hususunda, hem Osmanlı-Türk yönetimi hemde Anadolu hareketi tüm bu varlık mücadelesi dönemindeki propaganda faaliyetlerinde, kendikaynaklarının dışında, özellikle Hint Müslümanlarından destek görmüştür. Bu yayınlardan biri,Ahmediyye Hareketi doğrultusunda Londra’da yayımlanan The Islamic Review adlı dergi olmuştur.Bu makale Şubat 1913’te yayımlanmaya başlanan The Islamic Review’un Osmanlı-Türkpropagandası niteliğindeki yazıları ile Türkiye’ye girişinin yasaklanmasına giden süreci konuedinmektedir.

Öz: 1912-1913 was a period in which the West increased its military attacks on Ottoman lands. The attacks continued in 1914 with the First World War and at the end of the war the Ottoman Empire was destroyed. Upon the loss of the military and political ability of the state, the Anatolian people started an armed struggle to determine their own future and the struggle for independence which they carried out resulted in a military victory on 11 October 1922. Regarding the press, both the OttomanTurkish administration and the Anatolian movement, apart from their own sources, were supported by the Indian Muslims, in the propaganda activities during this whole period of struggle for existence. One of these publications was The Islamic Review, which was printed in London as part of the Ahmadiyya Movement. This article deals with writings of The Islamic Review having the characteristics of Ottoman-Turkish propaganda and the process leading to the prohibition of its entry to Turkey.
