Sistinozisli bir olguda pigmenter makülopati

Öz:

Sistinozis otozomal resesif kalıtım gösteren ve nadir görülen bir hastalıktır. Kromozom 17p13’te lokalize olan sistinozis geninde oluşan mutasyon nedeniyle hastalık oluşmaktadır. Bu hastalıkta en sık karşılaşılan ön segment muayene bulguları kornea ve konjonktivada kristal birikimi iken sıklıkla karşılaşılan arka segment göz muayene bulgusu; periferik retina, retina pigment epitelinde hipopigmentasyon ve makülada pigmenter değişim olmasıdır. Hastalıkta belirgin göz belirtileri fotofobi, blefarospazm ve görme azlığıdır. Sistinozisin nefropatik (infantil-juvenil) ve non-nefropatik olmak üzere iki formu vardır. Nonnefropatik form, oküler sistinozis olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Makalemizde, nefropatik sistinozisli bir olguda görülen maküler pigmenter değişikliklerin sunumu amaçlanmıştır.

Pigmentary maculopathy in a patient with cystinosis

Öz:

C ystinosis is a rare autosomal recessive lysosomal storage disorder. It is characterized by the intracellular accumulation of cystine. The gene for nephropathic cystinosis has been mapped to chromosome 17p13. Corneal and conjunctival crystals are the most common anterior segment findings while hypopigmentation of retina pigment epithelium in the periphery and macular pigmentary changes are the most common fundus findings in the disease. Corneal crystals cause intense photophobia and blepharospasm. Two forms of the cystinosis were defined: nephropathic (infantile-juvenile) and non- nephropathic. In this study, we present the macular pigmentary changes in a patient with infantile nefrophatic cystinosis.
