The effects of Capparis ovata desf. on liver and kidney for long term administering in mice (A histopathological study)

Öz:

Bu çalışmada, ağrı kesici, kuvvet verici vb. etkilerinden dolayı halk arasında kullanım alanı geniş, tıbbi bir bitki olan Capparis ovata Desf.'nin (Kapari, kebere) uzun süreli kullanımda karaciğer ve böbrek üzerine etkileri histopatolojik olarak incelenmiştir. Kebere meyvelerinden hazırlanan %1 lik infüzyon, deney grubundaki farelere 60 gün süreyle oral yoldan verilmiştir. İki aylık uygulama sonunda, deney grubundaki farelerin böbrek ve karaciğerleri, sadece su verilen kontrol grubu ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Sonuçta, uzun süreyle uygulanan kebere infüzyonunun böbrekleri etkilemediği ancak karaciğer üzerinde nükleer pleomorfizm ve mikroveziküler yağlanma şeklinde olumsuz etkilerinin olabileceği gözlenmiştir.

Öz:

ln this study, effects of Capparis ovata Desf (Caper) which is used by people as analgesic and tonic on liver and kidney for long term administer on was investigated histopathologically, During 60 days' I % infusion that was prepared from caper fruits was given by orally to mice (test group), and tap water was given to control group, After two months, kidney and livers of test group were compared with that of the control group, As a result, infusion of capper that was used for long term has no effect on kidney, but some pathological findings as nuclear pleomorphism and microvesicular steatosis have been observed on liver.
