Heavy metal accumulation in the edible parts of some cultivated plants and media samples from a volcanic region in southern Turkey
Türkiye’nin güneyinde Isparta çevresinde üzerinde tarım yapılan volkanik topraklar mevcuttur. Bu toprakların ve sekiz farklı kültür bitkisinin (Brassica oleracea var. capitata, Portulaca oleracea, Vitis vinifera, Raphanus sativus, Phaseolus vulgaris ve Vigna unguiculata subsp. unguiculata) yenilebilir kısımlarında 10 çeşit ağır metalin (Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Zn) konsantrasyon seviyeleri araştırıldı. Örneklerin ağır metal içeriği ICP-AES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometer) kullanılarak belirlendi. Ayrıca bitki translokasyon faktörleri (TF) de hesaplandı. Hem toprak hem de bitki örneklerinde ağır metal konsantrasyonları önemli farklılıklar göstermiştir. Toprak örneklerinin ortalama ağır metal içerikleri çoktan aza doğru Fe>Mn>Zn>Cu>Pb>Mo>Ni>Cr>Cd>Co olarak bulunmuştur. Toprak örneklerinde Cd ve Pb konsantrasyonları tolerans limit değerlerinin üzerinde bulunmasına rağmen bitkilere geçmesini engelleyen toprağın bazı fiziksel ve kimyasal özelliklerinden dolayı birikimi düşük seviyede kalmıştır. Mo elementinin TF değeri P. oleracea dışında bütün bitki türlerinde yüksek seviyede çıkmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar ilgili literatürlerde belirtilen standart değerlerle karşılaştırıldığında yalnızca P. oleracea türünde bulunan Mn konsantrasyonu kabul edilebilir limitlerin üzerinde bulunmuştur.
