Tohum gücünün değerlendirilmesi
Öz: Tohum kalitesinin ölçülmesinde kullanılan canlılık ve güç kavramları çoğunlukla birbiri ile karıştırılmaktadır. Bu derleme, tohum canlılığından farklı olarak, güç kavramının daha iyi anlaşılmasını sağlamak ve ayrıca tohum gücünün değerlendirilmesinde kullanılan uluslararası testleri incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Öncelikle, tohumlarda güç kavramı ve tohum gücü üzerine etkili olan faktörler açıklanmış, daha sonra güç testlerinin yapısal özellikleri değerlendirilmiştir. Fizyolojik, biyokimyasal ve tüm yaşlanma sürecini içeren test kategorilerinden, ISTA tarafından onaylanmış ve tavsiye edilen testler ile tohum fizyolojisi ve teknolojisi araştırmalarında kullanılan çeşitli güç testleri incelenmiştir.

Assessment of seed vigour
Öz: Viability and vigour concepts, used to measure the quality of seed, are often confused with each other. This review was conducted to provide a better understanding of the concept of vigour, as distinct from viability, of seeds and to investigate international tests used in the assessment of seed vigour. Primarily, the vigour concept in seeds and factors affecting seed vigour were explained. Then structural features of vigour tests were evaluated. Of the physiological, biochemical and the whole ageing process test categories, vigour tests which were approved and suggested by ISTA and used in studies related to seed physiology and technology were examined.
