Kadın ve erkek liderlerin sözel iletişim yeterlikleri ve bunun çalışanların iş tutumları üzerine etkileri

Öz:
Ondört iş örgütünden 138 katılımcının yer aldığıbu araştırmada, kadın ve erkek liderlerin konuşma yeterlikleri ve bunun çalışanların iş tutumları üzerindeki etkileri incelenmiştir. Soru kâğıdı 0.88C’s A değeri ile yüksek düzeyde güvenilir bulunmuştur.

Verbal communication competencies of male and female leaders and their effects on emp- loyees’ work attitudes

Öz:
Data, from survey of 138 employees in 14 organizations were analyzed to explore relationships between leader gender and verbal competencies and their effects on emloyeees’ job attitudes.Questionnaire had a high level of internal consistency as measured by C’s A, (0.88). On the otherhand, employees were affected but weren’tmotivated by their leaders’ speeches. In addition, employees sensed a low and/or medium degreeof communication density and verbal consideration with/from their leaders. More interestingly, communication satisfaction with leaders took place in the last row. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that there is no statistically significant difference between communication density levels of male and female leaders. Cor- respondingly, verbal effectiveness’ degree offemale leaders were found higher than those of men. Similarly, employees stated higher levels of job satisfaction, job performance and coomunication satisfaction in favor of female leaders.
