Cinselliğin Değerlendirilmesi: Hemşireler İçin Öneriler ve Klinik Stratejiler

Öz:

Cinsellik, bireylerin rahat ve açık bir şekilde ifade edemedikleri bir konudur. Diğer taraftan cinsellikle ilgili konular, hemşireler tarafından da yeterli ve etkili bir şekilde ele alınmamaktadır. Bu durumun öncelikli nedenleri arasında hemşirelerin cinselliği değerlendirme konusundaki bilgi ve becerilerinin yetersiz olması gelmektedir. Bu derlemede hemşirelerin sağlık bakımında kapsamlı cinsel değerlendirme yapabilmeleri ve cinsel konuları etkili bir şekilde yönetebilmeleri için sahip olmaları gereken özellikler ve bu özellikleri geliştirmede kullanabilecekleri bazı stratejilerin tanıtımı amaçlanmıştır.

Sexuality Assessment: Suggestions for Nurses and Clinical Strategies

Öz:

Sexual issues are often diffi cult for individuals to openly and comfortably discuss. Furthermore, sexual issues are not handled very effectively by nurses. One of the primary reasons for this phenomenon is that nurses knowledge and skills regarding sexual assessment are insuffi cient. The aim of this compilation is to introduce the approach that nurses should take in order to make a detailed sexual assessment and manage sexual issues effi ciently, and some strategies which they may use for improving assessments for sexual issues.
