Boerhaave Syndrome After Excess Water Consumption

Öz:

Boerhaave sendromu, şiddetli öğürme ve kusma sonrası özefagusun tam kat yırtılmasıdır. Etiyolojide en sık neden kusmadır. Klasik bulgusu Mackler triadı olupkusma, göğüs ağrısı ve subkutanöz amfizemi içerir. Erken tanı ve tedavisi ölümcülkomplikasyonların önlenmesi için önemlidir. Yazımızda nadir görülen, acil servisegöğüs ağrısı-nefes darlığı şikayeti ile gelen ve Boerhaave sendromu tanısını koyduğumuz olguyu sunduk.

Aşırı Su Alımı Sonrası Gelişen Boerhaave Sendromu

Öz:

Boerhaave syndrome is full- thickness perforation of the esophagus after forcefulretching and emesis. The most common etiological factor is emesis. It s clas- sic finding is Mackler triad which includes vomiting, chest pain and subcutaneusemphysema. Rapid diagnosis and treatment is important in order to prevent life- threatining complications. We reported a rare case that came to the emergencydepartment complaining of chest pain and shortness of breath and diagnosed asBoerhaave syndrome.
