Septoplasti sonrası nadir bir komplikasyon: Uzun süren diplopi

Öz:

Septoplasti burun septum deformitelerini düzeltmek içinyapılan bir işlemdir. Septal cerrahi sonrası birçok komplikasyongeliştiği bilinmektedir. Bu yazıda, septoplasti uygulanan24 yaşında bir kadın hasta sunuldu. Ameliyattan sonra hastadaçift görme ve vertigo yakınması başladı. Sağ göz muayenesindebelirgin yukarı bakış kısıtlılığı olduğu görüldü. Diplopiherhangi bir sekel olmaksızın 21 günde kendiliğinden düzeldi.Yazarlar bu nadir olguyu açıklayabilecek olası anatomik yollarıtartıştı.

Öz:

Septoplasty is a procedure performed to correct deformities ofthe nasal septum. It is known that many complications occurafter septal surgery. In this article, we report a 24-year-oldfemale patient who was performed septoplasty. After theoperation, the patient complained of double vision and vertigo.Examination of the right eye revealed evident upgaze limitation.Diplopia resolved spontaneously in 21 days without any sequel.The authors discussed the possible anatomical pathways thatmight explain this rare phenomenon.
