Kargı Çayı (Antalya, Türkiye) su kalitesinin fizikokimyasal parametrelere göre belirlenmesi
Kullanılabilir su kaynaklarının çeşitli faktörler tarafından hızla kirletildiği günümüzde, var olan su kaynaklarının ekolojik özelliklerinin ortaya konulması ve koruma amaçlı çalışmaların artırılması önem kazanmıştır. Bu bağlamda, Antalya ilinde yer alan Kargı Çayı'nda gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada, çayın fizikokimyasal özellikleri değerlendirilmiş ve su kalitesi sınıfları belirlenmiştir. Temmuz 2014-Nisan 2015 tarihleri arasında, belirlenen yedi istasyondan su örnekleri mevsimsel aralıklarla alınarak incelenmiştir. Alınan su örneklerinde su sıcaklığı (°C), pH, elektriksel iletkenlik (EC), çözünmüş oksijen (ÇO), biyokimyasal oksijen ihtiyacı (BOİ5), amonyum azotu (NH4 -N), nitrit azotu (NO2-N), nitrat azotu (NO3-N), orto-fosfat fosforu (PO4-P), klorür iyonu (Cl-) ölçümleri yapılmıştır. Yapılan istatistikî analizlere göre, EC ve Cl değerleri istasyonlar arasında anlamlı derecede farklılık göstermiştir (P<0,05). Akarsuyun su kalitesi Su Kirliliği Kontrol Yönetmeliği ve Klee'nin metodu kullanılarak değerlendirilmiş, genel olarak yüksek kalite (kirlenmemiş) ya da az kirlenmiş su niteliğine sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ancak nehir mansabında yer alan son istasyonda, denizel etki ve alanda yapılan rekreatif düzenlemeler nedeniyle su kalitesinde bazı parametrelere göre düşüş olduğu düşünülmektedir. Sonuç olarak; Kargı Çayı, çevresinde yer alan bazı alabalık çiftlikleri ve yerleşim birimlerine rağmen yoğun bir kirletici tehdidi altında değildir.
