Tıkınırcasına Yeme Bozukluğu Olan Şişman Hastalarda Aleksitimik Özellikler ve Ruhsal Belirtiler: Karşılaştırmalı Bir Çalışma
Amaç: Bu çalışmada tıkınırcasına yeme bozukluğu (TYB) olan ve olmayan şişmanların aleksitimik özettiklerinin ve ruhsal belirtilerinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Şişmanlık yakınması nedeni ile baş vuran otuzaltı hasta ve otuzyedi normal kilolu birey Tıkanırcasına Yeme Bozukluğu (TYB) DSM-IV ölçütleri, Bulimiya Araştırma Testi, Toronto Aleksitimi Ölçeği ve SCL-90-R ölçeği ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Otuzaltı hastanın sekizi TYB ölçütlerini karşılamıştır. TYB olan şişman hastalarda SCL-PSDI, SCL-PST, SCL-somatizasyon, SCL-obsessif kompulsif ve kişiler arası alt skorlarında TYB olmayan şişmanlara ve kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı yükseklik bulunmuştur. Toronto aleksitimi ölçeği puanları TYB olan ve olmayan şişmanlar arasında farklılık göstermemiştir. Tartışma: TYB olan şişman hastalar TYB olmayanlardan ve kontrol grubundan daha fazla ruhsal belirtiler göstermekle birlikte aleksitimik özellikleri birbirinden farklı değildir.
