TÜRKİYE’DE ORTA GELİRDEN DÜŞÜK GELİR VE YÜKSEK GELİRE GEÇİŞİN BELİRLEYİCİLERİ

Öz:

Çalışmanın amacı Türkiye'deki orta gelirli sınıfın genel durumunu belirlemek ve orta gelirden düşük gelire ve yüksek gelire geçiş olasılığını etkileyen sosyoekonomik ve demografik faktörleri tespit etmektir. Analizlerde 2005-2013 yılları arasındaki TÜİK tarafından düzenlenen gelir ve yaşam koşulları anketleri kullanılarak probit modeli ile tahminler yapılmıştır. Analiz sonuçları orta gelirden düşük ve yüksek gelire geçişte yaş, cinsiyet, eğitim, SGK'ya kayıtlılık, hane sayısı, hanedeki çocuk sayısı, hanede elde edilen gelir tipi ve çalışılan sektörlerin etkili olduğunu göstermektedir

FACTORS TO TRANSITION FROM MIDDLE INCOME TO OTHER INCOME CLASSES FOR TURKEY

Öz:

The aim of this study is to provide a general profile on the middle income class in Turkey and identify the effects of various socioeconomic and demographic factors on the probability of transition of middle income classes into lower or higher income classes. Data from Surveys on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) is utilized over the period 2005-2013 for analyzes based on probit models. The results of the analysis indicate that gender, age, education, social security status, the size of the household, the type of the income and sector affect the probability of transition of middle income classes into lower or higher income classes
