İlkokul Öğrencilerinin Geleceğe Yönelik Çevre Algılarının Çizdikleri Resimler Aracılığı ile Belirlenmesi

İlkokul Öğrencilerinin Geleceğe Yönelik Çevre Algılarının Çizdikleri Resimler Aracılığı ile Belirlenmesi

Öz:
Bu çalışmanın amacı ilköğretim birinci kademe öğrencilerinin geleceğe yönelik çevre algılarını çizdikleri resimler yoluyla incelemektir. Çalışmaya 131'i birinci sınıf, 127'si ikinci sınıf, 160'ı üçüncü sınıf, 188'i dördüncü sınıf ve 222'si beşinci sınıf olmak üzere toplam 828 öğrenci katılmıştır. Betimsel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama modeli kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen çalışmanın verileri çiz-ve-anlat tekniği ile toplanmış, verilerin toplanması sırasında çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerden çevre ile ilgili bir resim çizmeleri ve çizdikleri resimleri açıklamaları istenmiştir. Verilerin analizinde hem nicel hem de nitel veri analiz yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler analiz edildiğinde öğrencilerin gelecekte %28,5'inin temiz, %40,3'ünün kirli ve %31,2'sinin teknolojik çevre algısına sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin geleceğe yönelik çevre algıları ile yaşadıkları bölge, yaşadıkları il ve devam ettikleri sınıf düzeyine göre anlamlı fark tespit edilirken, cinsiyete göre fark tespit edilememiştir. İlköğretim öğrencilerinin çizimlerinde sıklıkla ağaç, güneş, bulut, insan, kuş, kelebek, ev, apartman, araba, dağ, deniz, nehir, çöp, çöp kovası gibi ögelere yer verdikleri görülmüştür. Resimler incelendiğinde hava kirliliği, toprak kirliliği, aşırı yapılaşma ve trafik gibi yakın çevrelerinde gözlemleyebildikleri çevre problemlerine sıklıkla yer verildiği tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin kirlilik çeşitleri, çevrede yer alan canlı ve cansız ögelere karşı farkındalıklarının sınırlı olduğu belirlenmiştir
