Yaşa Bağlı Makula Dejenerasyonlu Hastalarda Serum Vitamin D Düzeyi

Öz:
Amaç: Yaşa bağlı makula dejenerasyonu(YBMD) olan hastalarda serum vitamin D düzeyini araştırmaktır.Gereç ve yöntemler: YBMD tanısıyla takip edilen 26 kuru tip,25 yaş tip toplam 51 YMBD hastası ile benzer yaş ve cinsiyetteki 34sağlıklı kontrol çalışma kapsamında değerlendirildi. Tüm katılımcıların serum vitamin D düzeyleri ölçüldü. Vitamin D düzeyleri ara-sındaki karşılaştırmaları t testi ile yapıldı.Bulgular: Kuru tip YBMD’li hastalarda serum vitamin D düzeyi ortalamaları21,40±12,61μg/L, yaş tip YBMD’de 21,25±15,19μg/L,kontrol grubunda ise 24,84±12,9 μg/L olarak bulundu. Hem kuru tip, hem de yaş tip YMBD hastaları ile kontroller arasında serumvitamin D seviyeleri açısından anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmedi (sırasıyla p=0,307, p=0,332).Sonuç: YBMD hastalarında serum vitamin D düzeyinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir değişiklik saptanmadı.

Serum Vitamin D Levels in Patients with Age Related Macula Degeneration

Öz:
Purpose: To investigate vitamin D levels in patients with age related macula degeneration (AMD). Materials and Methods: 26 dry AMD and 25 wet AMD totally 21 patients with AMD follow-up and age-gender matched 34 healthy control were included in the study. Vitamin D levels of all participants were measured. Comparisons among Vitamin D levels were performed by paired t test. Results: Mean vitamin D levels were found to be 21, 40±12, 61μg/L in dry AMD patients, 21, 25±15, 19μg/L in wet AMD patients and 24, 84±12, 9 μg/L in control group. When compared to control group, mean vitamin D levels were not found to be signifi cantly different from both dry AMD and wet AMD patients. (p=0,307, p=0,332 respectively) Conclusion: In AMD patients serum vitamin D levels were not found to be statistically signifi cantly different.
