Güncel periodontal splintlere genel bakış

Öz:
Periodontal hastalıkların tedavisi sırasında tedavi edilecek alanda bulunan ve çeşitli nedenler ile destek dokularında oluşan kayıplara bağlı olarak mobilitesi artmış daimi dişlerin, periodontal tedavinin başarılı olabilmesi ve tedavi sonrası sağlık durumunun idamesi için iyileşmeyi destekleyecek şekilde splintlenmesi gerekmektedir. Literatürde birçok periodontal splint materyalinden bahsedilmektedir. Bu makalede periodontal harabiyet sonucunda mobilitesi artmış dişlerde kullanılan splint çeşitleri ve kullanım prensipleri güncel literatür ışığında gözden geçirilmiştir

Current periodontal splints

Öz:
Depending on the disability of the supportive tissues for various reasons, the increased mobility of the permanent teeth should be splinted to support periodontal healing and successful periodontal treatment. Many types of periodontal splints are mentioned in the literature. In this article, the types of splint which used in increased teeth mobility caused by periodontal damage and their usage principles are reviewed in the light of current literature.
