Matematik Başarısını Yordama: Sosyoekonomik Statü, Ebeveyn Katılımı ve Öz-Güvenin Rolü

Öz:
Bu çalışma, sosyoekonomik statünün (SES), öğrencilerinmatematik öğrenmeleri üzerindeki doğrudan ve ebeveyn katılımıve öz-güven aracılığı ile de dolaylı etkilerini incelemiştir.Uluslararası Matematik ve Fen Eğilimleri Araştırması (TIMSS2011) Türkiye verisi kullanılarak, çok düzeyli analizler yapılmıştır.Sonuçlar, iki SES bileşeninin-evdeki eğitim kaynakları ve okulyapısının- öğrencilerin matematik başarısını pozitif yordadığınıgöstermiştir. Ayrıca, sonuçlar ebeveynin evdeki katılımı veebeveynin okul etkinliklerine katılımının sırasıyla, evdeki eğitimkaynakları ve okul yapısı ile matematik başarısı arasında aracı rolüolduğunu göstermiştir. Hem evdeki eğitim kaynaklarının hem deebeveynin evdeki katılımının matematik başarısı üzerindekietkisine aracılık eden öz-güvenin matematik başarısının en güçlüyordayıcısı olduğu görülmüştür. Elde edilen, bulgular, SES veöğrenci matematik başarısı arasındaki ilişkiye aracılık etmedeebeveyn katılımının rolünü incelerken çok düzeyli analizlerinönemini vurgulamaktadır.
