The Economic and Sociological Impacts of Globalization: Bibliography-Based Systematic Review Study from 1997 to Today

Öz:
Globalization is a term used in many ways, but the underlying idea is the gradual integration of economies and societies. A wide range of actors, including new technologies, new economic relations, governments, international organizations, business, labor and civil society, are driven by national and international policies. The remarkable dimensions of globalization are economic, socio-cultural and political. Globalization refers to the influence on the lives and work of people, families and societies when assessed from a sociological point of view. Within the scope of this study, which is designed in a systematic review pattern, the criterion sampling method was used based on qualitative research method. For this purpose, available in two selected main databases previous studies which were conducted between 1997 and 2017, on the economic and sociological effects of globalization has been listed bibliographically and subjected to in-depth document analysis. In the light of the findings and the previous studies, it is found out that globalization has led to both positive or negative the economic, socio-cultural and political influences varying from country to country and the effects are different in developing and developed countries.
