KOMB (VUCA) Dünyası ve Yeni Liderlik Becerileri

Öz:

İçinde bulunduğumuz ve geçmişle kıyaslanamayacak hızda değişen, birbirleriyle karşılıklı ilişki içinde pek çok faktörün oluşturduğu karmaşık, oynak,muğlak ve belirsiz ortam, ABD’de VUCA olarak isimlendirilmektedir. VUCA, volatility, uncertainty, complexity ve ambiguity kelimelerinin baş harflerinden oluşan bir kısaltmadır. Bu çalışmada VUCA, dilimize KOMB (karmaşıklık, oynaklık, muğlaklık, belirsizlik) olarak uyarlanmıştır. KOMB dünyasının, geçmişin nispeten istikrarlı iş dünyasından çok farklı özellikler göstermesi, bu yeni durumla baş etmek durumunda olan yöneticilerde yenibeceriler geliştirme zorunluluğunu ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu kuramsal (teorik)çalışmada öncelikle, KOMB olarak nitelendirilen bu yeni iş dünyasının bileşenleri ve özellikleri ele alınmış, ardından Bob Johansen tarafından geliştirilen ve KOMB dünyasında başarılı olabilmek için günümüz üst düzey yönetici ve liderlerinin taşıması gereken yeni liderlik becerileri açıklanmıştır.

Öz:

The fast changing, complex, volatile, ambiguous and uncertain environment surrounding us, is called VUCA in the USA. VUCA is an abbreviation consisting of the initials of the words volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. In this study, VUCA is adapted to the Turkish language as KOMB (karmaşıklık, oynaklık, muğlaklık, belirsizlik). The fact that the VUCA world has very different features from the relatively stable business world of the past has revealed the necessity of developing new skills to the managers who have to deal with this new situation. In this theoretical study, firstly, the components and features of this new business world, which is called as VUCA, are discussed. Next are explained the new leadership skills developed by Bob Johansen that must be gained by today's senior executives and leaders in order to be successful in the VUCA World.
