YÜKSELEN PİYASALARDA EKONOMİK KÜRESELLEŞME VE GELİR EŞİTSİZLİĞİ İLİŞKİSİ

YÜKSELEN PİYASALARDA EKONOMİK KÜRESELLEŞME VE GELİR EŞİTSİZLİĞİ İLİŞKİSİ
Öz: Gelir eşitsizliği 1980’lerin başından itibaren artmaya devam etmektedir. Artan gelireşitsizliği ile artan ekonomik küreselleşmenin aynı döneme denk gelmesi küreselleşme-gelireşitsizliği ilişkisine dair tartışmaları şiddetlendirmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı yükselen piyasaekonomilerinde ekonomik küreselleşme ile gelir eşitsizliği arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır.Çalışmada 13 yükselen piyasa ekonomisinin 1994-2014 yılları arasındaki verileri kullanılarakpanel veri modeli oluşturulmuş ve gelir eşitsizliği ile küreselleşme arasındaki ilişki PooledMean Group (PMG) yöntemiyle tahmin edilmiştir. Model sonuçlarına göre, yükselen piyasaekonomilerinde ekonomik küreselleşmenin gelir eşitsizliğini artırdığı görülmüştür.

Öz: Income inequality has been increasing since the early 1980s. The fact that increasing income inequality and increasing economic globalization coincide with the same period have exacerbated the debate about the relationship between globalization and income inequality. The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between economic globalization and income inequality in emerging market economies.In the study, a panel data model was formed by using the data of 13 emerging market economies between 1994 and 2014 and the relationship between income inequality and globalization is estimated by PooledMeanGroup (PMG) method. According to model results, it is seen that economic globalization increases income inequality in emerging market economies.
