Kayıp Yaşantılarında Bitmemiş İşler Ölçeği-Kısa Form: Türkçeye uyarlama, geçerlilik ve güvenilirlik çalışması

Öz:
Amaç: Bu araştırmada, yas sürecinin gidişi üzerinde önemli bir etken olan kaybedilen kişi ile yarım kalmış yaşantı-ları ve çözümlenmemiş çatışmaları değerlendiren Bitmemiş İşler Ölçeği-Kısa Formunun (BİÖ-KF) Türkçeye uyar-lanması, geçerlilik ve güvenilirlik çalışmasının yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırmanın örneklemini en az altı ay ve öncesinde yakın kaybı yaşamış, 18 yaş ve üzerindeki 334 katılımcı oluşturmuştur. Katılımcıların yaş ortala-ması 30.30±13.40 olarak belirlenmiştir. Sonuçlar: Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonuçları iki faktörlü yapıya ilişkin elde edilen uyum indekslerinin iyi düzeyde olduğunu göstermektedir. Ölçüt-bağıntılı geçerlilik kapsamında yapılan analizler sonucunda BİÖ-KF’nin Karmaşık Yas Envanteri ile arasında oldukça güçlü korelasyon olduğu görülmüştür. Ölçeğin toplam puan Cronbach alfa iç tutarlılık katsayısı 0.75 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Tartışma: Elde edilen bulgular, Kayıp Yaşantılarında Bitmemiş İşler Ölçeği-Kısa Formu Türkçe sürümünün yeterli psikometrik özelliklere sahip olduğu ve kaybedilen kişi ile olan yarım kalmış yaşantıların değerlendirilmesinde geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olarak kullanılabileceğini göstermiştir.

The Unfinished Business in Bereavement Scale-Brief Form: the Turkish adaptation, validity and reliability study

Öz:
Objective: This study aims to adapt the Unfinished Business in Bereavement Scale-Brief Form into Turkish. The scale assesses the incomplete experiences and unresolved conflicts which are important for the course of the grief. Methods: The sample of the study consists of 334 participants who are over 18 years, experienced a loss at least six months prior to survey. The average age is 30.30±13.40 years. Results: Confirmatory Factor analysis results indicated that two-factor model was a good fit to the data. Criterion validity analysis result showed that there was a strong correlation between the UBBS-Brief and the Complicated Grief Inventory. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for total score was 0.75. Conclusion: Consequently, the Turkish version of the USSB-Brief has adequate psycho-metric properties. It can be used as a valid and reliable measurement tool in evaluating of unfinished business with the deceased.
