Perkütan Endoskopik Gastrostomili Hastalara Bakım Verenlerin Karşılaştıkları Sorunlar ve Çözüm Önerileri

Öz:

Perkütan endoskopik gastrostomi, oral yolla beslenemeyen ve gastrointestinalsistem fonksiyonları normal olan hastalarda, uzun sürelienteral beslenme sağlamak amacıyla karın duvarından mideyetüp yerleştirilmesidir. Perkütan endoskopik gastrostomi, uzun sürelienteral beslenmede en sık kullanılan yöntemlerden biridir. Bu yönteminkullanılma amacı; kilo kaybını ve malnütrisyona bağlı yaşamkalitesindeki bozulmayı engellemek, eksik olan besin maddelerininvücuda alımını sağlamaktır. Perkütan endoskopik gastrostomi kolayuygulanabilir ve maliyet etkin olması nedenleri ile diğer beslenmeyöntemlerine göre avantaj sağlamaktadır. Perkütan endoskopikgastrostomi, uygun ve yeterli postoperatif bakım sağlanmadığındaçeşitli sorunların ortaya çıkmasına neden olabilmektedir. Perkütanendoskopik gastrostomili hastalara bakım verenlerin taburculuksonrası problemlerinin ve gereksinimlerinin belirlenmesi ve çözümyollarının aranması hastaların ve bakım verenlerin yaşam kalitesininartırılması açısından oldukça önemlidir. Bu derlemede perkütanendoskopik gastrostomili hastalara bakım verenlerin sorunları ve busorunlara yönelik çözüm önerileri tartışılmıştır.

Problems Faced by Caregivers of Patients with Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy and Solution Offers

Öz:

Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy is passed into stomach through abdominal wall to provide long-term enteral nutrition for patients whose cannot be fed orally and have normal gastrointestinal function. Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy is one of the most commonly used methods in long-term enteral feeding. Purpose of using this method is to prevent weight loss and deterioration in quality of life due to malnutrition and to ensure the intake of missing nutrients to the body. Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy provides an advantage other nutritional method due to ease of placement and cost-effectiveness. Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy may cause various complications if appropriate and adequate post-operative care is not provided. Identifying post-discharge problems and needs of caregivers of patients with percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy and searching for solutions are crucial to improve quality of life both patients and caregivers. In this review, problems of the caregivers of patients with percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy and solutions for the problems were discussed.
