Research is a regular study conducted by using scientific methods and techniques in order to reveal an existing fact, to solve the determined trouble or problem and to increase the available data. Scientific researches published in indexed journals considered to be qualified can be expressed as a systematic process of data collection and analysis in order to obtain the desired information. In scientific research, the method is a way that is determined in accordance with the purpose and leads the researcher to reach the target step by step. It is known by researchers that one of the subheadings that indexed journals should be within the rules of article writing is the method. However, most of the faculties of education in our country publish education journals and it is a matter of curiosity about how many of the articles published in these journals are related to science education. Therefore, it is important to carry out analysis studies that will reveal these issues. Performing an analysis study on a scientific subject provides information about the depth and prevalence of that subject and can reveal the general appearance of the data examined. The aim of this study is to analyze methodology of science articles published in education journals published within the scope of TR Index which is accepted in academic promotion in our country in recent years. For this purpose, the main problem of the research is the ratio of science education articles in the education journals published by the faculty of education indexed by ULAKBİM TR Index and by which methods the researches are concentrated? and the sub-problems of the research are listed below. 1► What is the ratio of the total number of articles published, the number of articles on science education and the number of articles on science education to the total number of articles published in the journals of education faculties indexed by ULAKBİM TR Index and their distribution by years? 2► Which methods are used in the science education articles published in the education faculty journals indexed by ULAKBİM TR index since 2015 and how are they distributed according to years? This study was carried out with document analysis method evaluated within the scope of analytical studies. Twenty-five TR journals within the scope of the study were examined and 379 articles out of a total of 4574 articles published since 2015 have been conducted in the science education. Later on, these articles were examined by two faculty members, one of whom individually took the field and the other is a field education specialist in terms of their methods. In order to ensure the reliability of the study carried out (Miles and Huberman, 1994), the percentage of consistency in the method determinations of the articles examined by two faculty members was found to be 98%. In addition, the category shown as not specified in the article methods examined is the ones whose method is not clearly stated by the authors in the article. Considering the years examined, it was found that the ratio of articles published in science education to total articles increased in the context of journals analyzed as it came to the nowadays. When the methods of the selected science education articles were examined, it was concluded that the most preferred method was experimental method and the least preferred methods were developmental research and meta-analysis methods.It was concluded that the journal that gives the most place to science education articles is the “Necatibey Faculty of Education Electronic Journal of Science and Mathematics Education”, and that the journal that does not give place is “Ankara University Faculty of Educational Sciences Journal of Special Education”. It has been concluded that the studies conducted in the name of science education have increased over the years, but the scientific research methods that are frequently used in researches are limited to experimental, screening and special case methods. On the other hand, it was concluded that the methods of the studies carried out in the article were not stated in a way that could not be ignored.
