Kabul Edilmemesi Gereken Toplumsal Bir Gerçek: Yakın Partner Şiddeti

Öz:
Şiddet insanlık tarihinin ortaya çıkışından itibaren var olduğu düşünülen ve günümüzde de artarak devam eden bir olgudur. Yakın partner şiddeti de gittikçe artmaktaolan toplumsal bir sorundur. Sağlık çalışanlarının bu toplumsal soruna müdahale edebilmeleri için sorunu tanımlayabilmeleri, nedenlerini, risk faktörlerini, etkilerini vemüdahale yöntemlerini bilmeleri önemlidir. Bu makalede yakın partner şiddetinin tanımından, yakın partner şiddetini açıklayan teorilerden, yakın partner şiddetininyaygınlığı, nedenleri ve risk faktörlerinden, yakın partner şiddeti uygulayanların gösterdikleri davranış özelliklerinden, yakın partner şiddetinin etkilerinden, Türkiye'de veDünya'da yapılmış araştırmalardan, yakın partner şiddeti ile başetme stratejilerinden ve önleme müdahalelerinden söz edilecektir.

Öz:
Violence is a phenomenon that is thought to exist since the emergence of human history and continues increasingly today. Intimate partner violence is also an increasing social problem. It is important for healthcare professionals to identify the problem, to know its causes, risk factors, effects, and methods of intervention in order to they can interfere with this social problem. In this article, the definition of intimate partner violence, theories which is explaining intimate partner violence, prevalence, causes and risk factors of intimate partner violence, behavioral characteristics of those who resort to intimate partner violence, the effects of intimate partner violence, research carried out in Turkey and the world, strategies for coping with intimate partner violence and prevention interventions will be mentioned.
