DENETİM KALİTESİ ÜZERİNDE MESLEKİ ŞÜPHECİLİĞİN ROLÜ: GAZİANTEP İLİNDE BİR UYGULAMA

DENETİM KALİTESİ ÜZERİNDE MESLEKİ ŞÜPHECİLİĞİN ROLÜ: GAZİANTEP İLİNDE BİR UYGULAMA
Öz: Ekonominin küresel hale gelmesi ile birlikte işletmelerin, kurum ve kuruluşların gerçekleştirmiş oldukları faaliyetlerinin yapısı, içeriği ve yönü teknoloji tabanlı bir evrime dönüşmüş ve denetim faaliyetleri de söz konusu durumdan kendisine düşen payı almıştır. Gerçekleştirilen faaliyetlerin kapsamının genişlemesi ile denetlenmesi sorunları ortaya çıkmış olup denetim faaliyetlerinin kalitesi sorgulanmaya başlanmış; genişleyen işlem hacmi karşısında denetçinin mesleki şüphecilik rolünün önemi ortaya çıkmıştır. Buradan hareketle bu çalışmada; Türkiye’de Gaziantep ilinde 2020 yılı itibariyle faaliyet gösteren denetçilerin gerçekleştirilen denetim faaliyetlerinin kalitesi üzerinde mesleki şüphecilik rollerine yönelik tutumlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı doğrultusunda anket yardımı ile elde edilen veriler “SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) 22.0” programına aktarılarak uygun analizler yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda; denetçilerin denetim kalitesi üzerinde mesleki şüphecilik rollerine ilişkin yaş, eğitim ve sahip oldukları pozisyonların etkili olduğu fakat cinsiyet durumlarının herhangi bir etkiye sahip olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca gelecekte denetim kalitesinin artırılması ve denetçilerin kendilerini geliştirmeleri konusunda alınması gereken önlemlere ilişkin önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Öz: With the globalization of the economy, the structure, content and direction of the activities of businesses, institutions and organizations have turned into a technology-based evolution. Audit activities also took its share from this situation. With the expansion of the scope of the activities carried out, the problems of supervision have emerged. The quality of the audit activities has begun to be questioned. The importance of the auditor's professional skepticism role has emerged in the face of the expanding transaction volume. In this study, its aimed to determine the effect of professional skepticism of auditors on audit quality that who operating in the province of Gaziantep at Turkey. In the study, the data obtained with the help of the questionnaire were transferred to the "SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) 22.0" program and appropriate analyzes were made. As a result of the study; It has been determined that the professional skepticism roles of the auditors are influenced by their age, education and positions, but their gender status does not have any effect. In addition, suggestions were made regarding the measures to be taken in order to increase the audit quality in the future and for the auditors to improve themselves.
