Öz:

Bu çalışma, ruminantlarda besleme davranışıyla ilgili çalışmaları ve değerlendirme prensiplerine ilişkin ayrıntıları derlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Özellikle son yıllarda çiftlik hayvanlarında davranış özelliklerinin doğasının anlaşılması ve üretimin hayvanların doğal davranışlarını sergilemelerini engellemeyecek şekilde planlanması yönünde bir eğilim giderek önem kazanmaktadır. Buna karşılık davranış çalışmalarında veri elde edilmesi ve tanımlanması, ifade edilmesi oldukça karmaşık ve sübjektif olabilmektedir. Geviş getiren hayvanlarda besleme davranışı, hayvan türü bağlamında tanımlanmakta ve objektif davranış değerlendirme yöntemleri ortaya konulmaya çalışılmaktadır. Çalışmanın hayvan refahı ve hakları, besleme davranışı bağlamında uygun rasyon hazırlama tekniklerinin ve otlatma yönetiminin oluşturulması konularındaki boyutları bakımından yararlı olacağı düşünülmektedir.

Feeding behaviors in ruminants and ıts evaluation principles

Öz:

The aim of this study is to review some recent researches, which are related to feeding behavior in ruminants and including details about evaluation principles. Recently, understanding the nature of some behavior characteristics in farm animals and planning suitable production system according to their natural behavior becomes increasingly important. However, obtaining and defining of behavioral data is very complex and difficult process. In addition to this, some observations are subjective in these researches because of evaluation principles. The present study is trying to determine feeding behavior characteristics by species and suitable evolution principles for these characteristics. It is considered that the study is useful to form a suitable management system for animal welfare and rights, and feeding behavior, which related issues about preparation techniques of ration and grazing systems.
