Sözdizim işlemlemesinde sağa taşıma etkisi

Öz:

Bu çalışmada, Türkçede temel sözcük dizilişindeki ÖNE tümceleri ile eylem sonu konumuna taşıma içeren ÖEN çalkalamalı tümcelerinin ve eylem sonu kurucularının taban üretimli olduğu ÖEN ki-tümcelerinin okuma süreleri karşılaştırılmaktadır. Çalışmada temel sözcük dizilişindeki tümcelerin tersine, çalkalamalı tümcelerde okuma süresinin daha uzun olduğu gösterilmektedir. Bu durumun, bu tümcelerin daha fazla işlemleme yükü içermesinden kaynaklandığı ileri sürülmektedir.

The effect of rightward movement on sentence processing

Öz:

In this study, reading time of Turkish sentences has been compared in order to find out whether there are differences in processing the canonical SOV sentences, the scrambled SVO sentences where constituents move to post-verbal positions, and SVO ki-clauses where post-verbal constituents are base generated. The results in this study suggest that due to longer reading times of SVO sentences, SVO sentences require more processing costs compared to the canonical SOV sentences.
