UYARILMIŞ İŞİTSEL BEYİN SAPI YANITLARINDA (ABR) CHIRP UYARANIN ARTAN KLİNİK ÖNEMİ

Öz:
Click uyaranlar, Uyarılmış İşitsel Beyin Sapı Yanıtları (ABR) değerlendirmesinde yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Click uyaranınKoklear Dalga Gecikmesi olarak bilinen dezavantajı vardır. Bunu ortadan kaldırmak için chirp uyaran geliştirilmiştir. Chirp uyaranın çeşitlitipleri mevcuttur (CE-Chirp, Narrow Band (NB) -CE Chirp, Level Spesifik (LS) CE- Chirp, Level Spesifik (LS) Narrow Band CE-Chirp).Literatür incelendiğinde Chirp uyaran çeşitlerinin ABR'de büyük dalga amplitüdleri sağlayarak test süresini kısalttığı ve davranışsal eşikleredaha yakın sonuçlar verdiği görülmüştür. Bu özelliği sayesinde özellikle yenidoğan işitme taramalarında olmak üzere diğer elektrofizyolojikodyoloji uygulamalarında da klinik kullanımının yaygınlaşabileceği gösterilmiştir.

INCREASING CLINICAL IMPORTANCE OF CHIRP STIMULUS IN AUDITORY BRAIN STEM RESPONSES (ABR)

Öz:
Click stimuli are commonly used in the assessment of Evoked Auditory Brainstem Responses (ABR).The click stimulus has the disadvantage known as the Cochlear Wave Delay.To eliminate this disadvantage chirp stimuli are developed.There are several types of Chirp stimuli (CE-Chirp, Narrow Band (NB) -CE Chirp, Level Specific (LS) Chirp, Level Spesifik (LS) Narrow Band Chirp).When the literature is examined, it has been seen that Chirp stimulus types shorten the test duration and give closer results to behavioral thresholds by providing large wave amplitudes in ABR.Thanks to this feature, it has been shown that clinical use can be spread especially in neonatal hearing screenings and other electrophysiological audiology applications.
