In the study conducted on laurel leaves harvested from Laurel tree present in Çakırlar Grove of Samsun province during May-October 2001, at morning, noon and evening, ontogenetic and diurnal variability was determined. Essential oil content of leaves was found to be the highest in July-August and was higher at noon relatively
