Magnetarların Yavaşlama Oranı ile Tork Gürültüsü Gücü Arasındaki Bağıntının Araştırılması

Magnetarların Yavaşlama Oranı ile Tork Gürültüsü Gücü Arasındaki Bağıntının Araştırılması

Öz:
Bu projede, McGill Magnetar Kataloğu?nda yer alan bütün magnetarlar için literatürdeki zamanlama çözümleri kullanılarak RXTE, SWIFT, XMM Newton ve Chandra arşiv verileri yeniden analiz edilmiştir. Magnetarların zamanlama çözümlerinden yararlanılarak kaynakların gürültü genlikleri hesaplanmış ve bu kaynakların gürültü güç tayfları oluşturulmuştur. Bu tayfların eğimleri, kütle aktarımı yapan sistemlerinin ve radyo atarcalarınınkilerle mukayese edilmiş ve bu mukayese sonucunda magnetarların daha çok yalnız (izole) radyo atarcalarına benzediği görülmüştür. Magnetarların gürültü genlikleri ile yavaşlama hızları arasında bir ilinti bulunmuş ve bu ilinti radyo atarcaların yavaşlamasına benzetilmiştir. Ayrıca kaynakların Xışını tayfları kullanılarak oluşturulan X-ışını ışınım güçleri ile gürültü genlikleri arasında ilinti aranmış ama böyle bir ilinti bulunamamıştır. Kaynakların zamanlama analizlerinden çıkarılan gürültü tayfları ve gürültü genliklerinin diğer fiziksel parametrelerle ilintisi kütle aktarımı yapan sistemlerinkinden çok yalnız (izole) radyo atarcalarına benzediği bulunmuştur. Projede magnetar kaynaklarının çift yıldız sistemlerinde bulunma olasılığı da incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla GX 1+4 ve SXP 1062 isimli kaynakların RXTE, Chandra, Swift ve XMM Newton uydularından gelen arşiv verileri incelenmiştir. GX 1+4 kaynağının periyot değişimleri normal nötron yıldızı manyetik alanına işaret etmekteyken, SXP 1062 isimli kaynağın çok yüksek manyetik alanlı magnetar sınıfına girdiği bulunmuştur. Ayrıca SXP 1062?nin çift yıldız parametreleri ilk defa çözülmüştür. Kaynağın radyo atarcalarının atım frekanslarında görülen aksama (glitch) denilen bir periyot sıçraması yaptığı keşfedilmiştir. Bu keşif, Royal Astronomical Society, NASA ve çok sayıda iç ve dış basının İnternet sitelerinde haber olmuştur. GX 1+4 ve SXP 1062 ilgili çalışmalar MNRAS dergisinde yayınlanmış, magnetarların güç tayfları ve gürültü genliklerinin ilintisiyle ilgili çalışmaysa MNRAS dergisine gönderilmiştir. Ayrıca bu çalışmanın belirli kısımları uluslararası toplantılarda sunulmuştur. Bu proje kapsamında yapılan çalışmalarda, magnetar kaynaklarında oluşan tork gürültüsünün kaynakların manyetosferi ile ilişkili olabileceği bulunmuştur. SXP 1062 kaynağında gözlenen aksama ise kuramsal yoğun madde fiziği çalışan bilim insanlarına ve bu kaynakların iç yapısının daha detaylı anlaşılmasına ışık tutacak niteliktedir.
