Toprak korumalı konut
Öz: Bu çalışma, toprak korumalı konutu inceler. İsminden de anlaşılacağı gibi toprak korumalı konut, yaşama mekanları toprak seviyesinin altında olan konuttur. Bu tür konut, enerji kullanımı, çevre ve ekolojik denge açısından pek çok yararlar sağlar. Toprak korumalı konut, yeni bir fikir değildir. Toprak seviyesinin altında inşa edilmiş çok eski yaşama birimleri mevcuttur. Günümüzde, toprak altındaki yaşamın çeşitli yönleri ile toprak korumalı konutun yapısal ve mimari tasarım ilkeleri ciddi ve detaylı olarak araştırılmaktadır. Bu çalışma, toprak korumalı konutun tasarım ilkelerini, yapısal özelliklerini, verimliliğini, güvenliğini ve toprak korumalı konuttaki yaşamı inceler. Çalışmanın son sayfalarında toprak korumalı konutun Türkiye'deki potansiyel kullanım alanlarına da kısaca değinilmiş, böylece bu konuda ileride yapılabilecek olan çalışmalara yol açılması amaçlanmıştır.

Öz: This study is concerned with "earth sheltered house". As the name implies, an earth sheltered house is a housing type which has space within earth. This offers various advantages with respect to energy efficiency, ecological and environmental factors. Earth sheltered housing, is not a new idea. There are quite old examples of living below the earth's surface. Nowadays, the architectural and structural design of such structures and various aspects of living in such environment are under serious and detailed study. This study critically examines components involved in the realization of earth sheltered houses, including design and structural characteristics and effectiveness, loads, materials, life safety and living in such an environment. Potential use of earth sheltered housing in Turkey is also discussed. Thus, guidance is aimed for future studies on the same subject.
